Emily Yevell Feliz Garcia

Founder & Managing Attorney

Emily Feliz Garcia is the proud daughter of hardworking immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic and the first in her family to attend college and become an attorney in the United States. Born in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, Emily spent her early childhood surrounded by the rich culture, strong family values, and deep faith that define Dominican life. Those early experiences instilled in her a sense of perseverance, humility, and compassion that continue to guide her personally and professionally.

At just eight years old, Emily immigrated with her family to the United States in search of a better future. The transition was not easy—navigating a new language, culture, and system—but it gave Emily firsthand understanding of the challenges immigrants face. After spending her early years in New York, her family later settled in Cincinnati, Ohio, the place she proudly calls home.

From a young age, Emily developed a deep passion for justice and a strong desire to advocate for immigrants who often feel voiceless in the legal system. Inspired by her family’s journey and her Dominican roots, she decided to dedicate her life to ensuring that others could access the opportunities her family fought so hard to find.

Before entering law school, Emily gained over thirteen years of professional experience as a Senior Paralegal, Office Manager, and Business Manager. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in both law and leadership—skills she would later use to build and manage her own growing law firm.

After earning her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law, Emily was admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio in November 2021. Since then, she has devoted her career to helping immigrants and their families find stability and hope through legal representation.

Today, Emily Feliz Law has grown into a thriving practice with another attorney and four dedicated legal professionals. The firm focuses primarily on U.S. immigration law, representing clients in cases involving immigrant and non-immigrant visas, consular processing, provisional waivers, asylum, naturalization, DACA, SIJS, VAWA, U visas, and adjustment of status applications. The firm also handles related matters in juvenile, traffic, criminal, and domestic relations law.

Attorney Feliz is known for her professionalism, honesty, and compassionate approach. She believes in protecting clients at all costs—taking the time to listen, understand their stories, and develop strategies that reflect both legal expertise and human empathy.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Attorney Feliz and her bilingual team proudly serve clients from all backgrounds, particularly the Hispanic and Caribbean communities. Her work reflects her belief that every person—regardless of their origin—deserves a fair chance at the American dream.

In her free time, Emily enjoys singing in her church choir, traveling, and spending time with her parents, sister, husband, and four children.

Giving back to her community remains at the heart of everything she does. For Attorney Feliz, success is not measured by titles or awards, but by the lives she helps transform—one family at a time.
